Mini-digger work for the small jobs and tight places. Retaining wall and driveway prep, section reshape, drains, stumps, auger holes. Manga turns up, runs the machine, picks up the phone.
Otorohanga · 2024
Thirty years operating diggers, the last seven of those on my own machine. Eighteen years with Otorohanga District Council running a 12 tonne. Thirteen more with Water Services and a National Certificate in water treatment and reticulation while I was at it.
In 2018 I finally bought my own 1.8 tonne and started Manga Roach Contracting. The small machine fits where the bigger ones can't, and when you ring me, you get me. No call centre, no quoting team, no apprentices learning on your section.
“The digger's great for the small jobs and the tight places. Prep for retaining walls and driveways, reshape sections, clear vegetation, clean out drains, remove small stumps, auger holes and more.”

Cut, batter, level and prep ready for the builder, the boxer or the sealcoat crew.
Strip top soil, drop a hillside, level for a new house pad or extension. The full-section job that the named project below is built on.
Trees, shrubs, hedgerows, overgrown banks. Cleared down to bare earth ready for the next stage.
Thirteen years with Water Services. National Certificate in water treatment and reticulation. Drains done properly the first time.
Stripping back all the top soil from three sides of the house. Removing a fish pond, a foot path, vegetation, trees and a hillside. Brought down level to the house and ready for the next stage.
This is what the 1.8 tonne is for. Get into the spots a 12-tonner can't, finish to a level the next trade can build off, leave the section ready.
